How to Upgrade Items in Pokemon GO
The Upgrade is one the most valuable items in Pokemon GO. It allows trainers to evolve Porygon2 into Porygon and advance in their Pokedex.
This item is scarce, but it is available by spinning a Photo Disc at a Pokestop or as a prize at special events. What does this item do?
Components
Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, weapons or gathering tools in order to confer an additional benefit. They are a vital component in the crafting process and can be obtained by salvaging or buying from vendors. You can also find them as drops, either from enemies or from item spheres. They can be used to upgrade weapons or armor by using an upgrade slot.
Utilizing upgrade components to maximize the experience gained when upgrading gear and weapons is crucial to achieve the highest degree of progression in the game. Adding organic components to an upgraded item will increase its experience multiplier, while mechanical components will reduce it. The best combination is a high experience-multiplier organic component followed by a low-experience-multiplier mechanical component. This will increase the amount of experience you gain and make it easier to reach the next level.
It's essential to know how the upgrade system works to make the most of your upgrades. The system keeps an ongoing total of experience for the component you're upgrading. Each component has either a positive or negative multiplier value, and when the total reaches certain thresholds, it will be reset to zero.

The amount of experience gained by each upgrade component can also be affected by the item's hidden rank and its experience multiplier. The higher-ranked items are more difficult to upgrade while those with lower ranks are less difficult to obtain.
When a new hardware upgrade is installed, it's essential to remove all existing connections and fasteners that hold the old component in place. Keep them in the parts tray for quick identification and secure storage. Once the new hardware is installed, reconnect any wires or cables and connect the power supply to electrical power. Then, test the computer by turning it on. If everything is connected properly the computer will boot up normally. This is an important step to ensure that the new hardware is compatible with your existing systems and will work seamlessly.
Glyphs
Glyphs are a fantastic instrument to improve your gear, but you must know how to use them. Each glyph can be used to improve the substatus, and the higher the rank of a Glyph, the more powerful it will be. You can only upgrade a Glyph once, so choose wisely. Glyphs can also be used only once, so they disappear after you have used them on an artifact or item.
The most effective symbols are those that increase the likelihood of rolling an affix that matches the desired level. They are typically found on the most expensive weapons, armor and accessories. They are also available on the Paragon Board and are usually worth the effort, however they can be hard to get.
You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Chests or purchase them at the Trading Post. Some glyphs are only available for one-time use and others are permanent. They are great for items that need to be re-rolled frequently. The Glyph of Hope allows you to increase your chances of obtaining an affix you want by making an item appear magical.
Some glyphs can also be used to modify existing affixes. This is most common on boots, gloves and belts, which are can accommodate four different affixes. The Glyph of Insight for example, turns a prefix in an experimental affix. This is a useful tool if you want an excellent affix for a certain slot or you want to maximize damage output.
Once you reach level 50, the structure of the game shifts dramatically. Instead of being a reliance on the campaign, you'll have to navigate the complicated Paragon Board, Nightmare Dungeons, and new grinds to ensure that your build is as optimal as possible.
The most effective glyphs will be ones that correspond to your character's class, like the Exploit Glyph, which increases damage against vulnerable enemies. Control Glyph is another good glyph that increases damage to enemies that are stunned, frozen or slowed. Each glyph has its own radius which grows as it is upgraded. This makes glyphs an excellent way to upgrade your gear later in the game.
Reroll tokens
Reroll tokens are upgrade items that allow players to change the attributes of an item. You can do this in the item's window by selecting an item, and then clicking a green button that has circular arrows. The cost of a reroll is determined by the rarity of the item.
Reroll tokens can be found in the Mystery Box or as rare drops from skulled monsters. They can also be purchased from the Trader. They can also be obtained through Event Items and may be gifted from other players. They can be used to roll weapons, armors, and rings in increments of two. Each token rerolls gives players a chance to roll for a new attribute which can be either higher or lower than the previous one.
In addition to being able reroll upgrades Reroll tokens can also be used to recycle items. The rarity of the item determines how many points players will receive for recycling it. This is a great method to dispose of old, useless equipment which hasn't been upgraded.
The rerolling token may be used to give a new weapon trait. The player is able to accept or deny these traits. The player can provide a total of six items at once, and the variety of choices increases as the item's level and rarity increases. This option is available through the Upgrade tab in the forge.
Reroll tokens can also be used to roll the set bonus of an item. This is triggered when three or more items from the same set are fitted to an item. The set bonus only applies to units that belong to the same class, and cannot be applied to units belonging to different classes.
Other upgrades, like recipes, can be Rerolled. These aren't offered by the shop or reroll, but instead transferred to the non-droppable Pool when players choose an item from the Food Card that requires new Ingredients or Equipment. Reroll tokens can be used to reroll the extra bonuses, but the base stats (including all upgrades), and level will remain the same.
Leveling
In the game, players have the ability to upgrade their equipment using an item upgrade item. These items can be made by obtaining the ingredients needed from NPCs that are upgraders in major cities. Once an item is upgraded, it will get an additional bonus to its base stats. Certain affixes may also be modified. This could result in a significant boost to the value of an item's ilvl.
When an item is upgraded, it will show a blue icon in its upper-left corner. item upgrader will also display the number of upgrades that are below its maximum level. A higher number of upgrades will boost the item's maximum level. The player can upgrade an item at any time he wants. This will let them hit breakpoints on gears, which increases the chance of rerolling certain attachments.
The ability to upgrade items gives players the ability to improve the level of their weapons, helms, and armor. This process costs items, which can be traded at the upgrader NPC to exchange them for currency. The upgrader will show a preview of an item's new level and accept either Happy Tickets or Happy Stars to complete the upgrade. The item used to purchase materials will be lost. However the upgraded item will keep Item EXP in order to upgrade it further.
While there is no guaranteed method to get an Upgrade but it does have the lowest chance of being lost when spinning Pokestops and Gyms. Players can also use an Upgrade on an existing Porygon to transform it into an Porygon2 which will eat the item.
